This Denver wedding styled shoot, aptly named “Mocha Mousse” was born from the desire to show couples that they need not fear the vibrant potential of muted colors in their celebrations.
We aimed to challenge conventional aesthetics by blending luxurious visuals with the rich sophistication of this beloved dessert and Pantone’s color of the 2025 year, creating a narrative that was both approachable and timeless.
The decision to focus on “mocha mousse” was completely intentional, as it symbolizes not just indulgence but a palette of textures and flavors that can inspire. The inclusion of sustainable designs was particularly relevant, aligning with a growing trend in eco-conscious celebrations. We thoughtfully selected elements such as a dark accent, soft mousse paired with natural, earthy decorations such as coffee beans and cream chiffon table fabrics, enhancing the dessert while promoting sustainability.
Hosted at the bright urban canvas of Skylight, original exposed brick, vaulted ceilings, open beams, and concrete floors offer a blank canvas, and it was the perfect setting.
Challenges arose, particularly around ensuring the colors remained appropriate and harmonious. It was crucial to balance bold hues with the naturally rich tones of the mocha mousse, so we pivoted by carefully selecting complementary accents. By softening certain elements and maintaining a cohesive color scheme, we were able to elevate the presentation without overwhelming it.
In terms of execution, the result was truly fulfilling. Dreaming up a vision and collaborating with talented, capable vendors allowed us to bring our shared concept to life seamlessly. Each vendor contributed their unique expertise, culminating in a cohesive aesthetic that beautifully showcased our theme and “the color of the year”.
