A Colorado-based wedding photographer with 20 years of experience and a cinematic eye for the moments that matter most. Serving couples across Colorado and destinations worldwide.
There are wedding venues that give you a beautiful backdrop, and then there are venues that become part of the entire experience. Oceana’s Gardens in Boulder, Colorado is absolutely the latter.

Oceana’s Gardens Wedding | Kenzie & Jordan’s Boulder Wedding : For Kenzie and Jordan’s July wedding, the gardens were lush, the summer light was gorgeous, and every part of the property gave their celebration a romantic, almost European feeling. Tucked into the Colorado countryside just outside Boulder, Oceana’s Gardens feels less like a traditional Colorado wedding venue and more like escaping to a private garden estate for the day.
And for a photographer? It’s a dream.
Kenzie and Jordan were married on July 25, 2026, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.
One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is watching all of the relationships surrounding the couple unfold throughout the day. The anticipation while everyone is getting ready. Parents seeing their son or daughter dressed for the first time. Friends laughing together. The nervous energy just before the ceremony. And then that moment when two people finally see each other and everything else seems to disappear.
Kenzie and Jordan’s wedding was filled with exactly those kinds of moments.
Their day was beautiful, but what I remember most was how it felt.
There was genuine emotion between the two of them and so much love and support surrounding them from their family and friends. Those are the moments I’m always looking for—the ones that happen naturally and become the photographs that mean even more ten or twenty years from now.

Oceana’s Gardens is unlike so many traditional Colorado wedding venues.
Instead of leaning into the rustic mountain aesthetic Colorado is known for, the property has a romantic, Italian and European-inspired garden feel. Manicured gardens, mature landscaping, winding pathways, water features and beautiful architecture create layers of scenery throughout the estate.
That variety is especially valuable when it comes to wedding photography.
Rather than leaving the property to create completely different looks, we can move through the gardens and create everything from soft, romantic portraits to more polished editorial wedding photographs—all while still allowing the couple to stay present with their guests.
For couples who love Colorado but are drawn to the feeling of a destination wedding in Italy or France, Oceana’s Gardens offers something incredibly special: European-inspired atmosphere without leaving Boulder.

My approach to photographing a wedding like Kenzie and Jordan’s is never about choosing between beautiful editorial photographs and authentic moments.
I want you to have both.
I love creating intentional portraits that feel like they belong in a magazine, but I also want the photograph of your mom looking at you when she thinks nobody is watching. Your best friend laughing during a toast. Your dad getting emotional. The way your husband reaches for your hand without thinking about it.
Kenzie and Jordan gave us plenty of opportunities for both.
Throughout the day, I photographed a combination of digital, black-and-white and 35mm film, giving their final wedding gallery a layered, timeless quality. Film especially felt at home among the gardens and European-inspired surroundings of Oceana’s Gardens—the texture, color and beautiful imperfection of 35mm added another dimension to the story of their day.
The result is a wedding gallery that doesn’t just document what everything looked like.
It brings you back to what it felt like to be there.

One of the things I tell couples is that choosing your wedding venue is about so much more than finding a pretty location.
Your venue becomes the canvas for your entire wedding.
It influences the experience your guests have, the design possibilities available to your planner and creative team, the flow of the celebration and, of course, the look and feeling of your wedding photographs.
It was elegant, intimate and completely fitting for them.

One of my favorite elements we brought to Kenzie and Jordan’s wedding was our Editorial Portrait Experience—a luxury, studio-style portrait lounge created specifically for their guests.
Instead of a traditional wedding photo booth, we designed an intentional portrait space complete with a professional backdrop, draping and vintage furniture. During cocktail hour, guests could step in front of the camera and have a beautifully directed, editorial portrait created of themselves.
And they absolutely loved it.
At one point, a guest told us it felt like they were “backstage at the Oscars,” which is exactly the kind of experience I want it to create.
The Editorial Portrait Experience gives your guests something unexpected to do during cocktail hour, but more importantly, it gives them something meaningful to take away from the wedding. Couples rarely have beautiful, professionally photographed portraits of their parents, grandparents, siblings or closest friends when everyone is dressed up and together in one place.
This changes that.
Rather than props, signs and traditional photo-booth snapshots, the experience is designed to feel elevated, stylish and completely integrated into a luxury wedding. Guests receive a little taste of the same editorial photography experience I create for my couples, while Kenzie and Jordan received an entirely different collection of photographs documenting the people who came to celebrate them.

For me, luxury wedding photography isn’t simply about creating beautiful images. It’s about thinking about the entire experience surrounding them.
Kenzie and Jordan’s Oceana’s Gardens wedding was the perfect example.
From photographing their day on digital and 35mm film to creating editorial portraits of their guests, every part of their photography experience was designed to give them something beyond traditional wedding coverage.
Because years from now, the photographs that become priceless aren’t always the perfectly styled details.
Sometimes it’s the portrait of your parents together.
Your grandparents dressed beautifully and holding hands.
Your best friends laughing.
Or the people you love looking exactly as you remember them during one incredible weekend of your life.
That’s what I want your wedding photography to preserve—not simply what your wedding looked like, but the people, energy and emotion that made it yours.

If you’re considering Oceana’s Gardens for your wedding, it is an especially beautiful choice for couples who want something different from the traditional Colorado mountain or ranch wedding.
The private-estate atmosphere, European-inspired gardens and variety of portrait locations make it particularly well suited for couples who care about both their guest experience and their photography.
As a Colorado luxury wedding photographer, I approach every wedding with a combination of editorial direction and documentary storytelling. I’ll step in and create when you need direction, and then disappear into the background when the moment deserves to happen without interruption.
Because ultimately, I don’t want your wedding to feel like an all-day photoshoot.
I want you to have an incredible wedding—and photographs that let you experience it all over again.
If you’re planning a luxury wedding at Oceana’s Gardens, a private estate wedding in Boulder, or a destination wedding in Colorado, I would love to hear what you’re creating.

For Kenzie and Jordan, the natural beauty of Oceana’s Gardens allowed the day to feel elevated without feeling overly formal. The gardens provided their own sense of romance, while the estate offered space for the celebration to unfold naturally from daylight into evening.
